Dump Trailer Rental Terms & Conditions
By renting a dump trailer from Mountain Goat Junk Company, LLC ("MGJCo"), Customer agrees to the following Terms & Conditions.
1. Rental Period
The rental period begins when the trailer is delivered and ends when MGJCo retrieves the trailer. Rental duration is as agreed upon at the time of booking. Additional rental days may be available for an additional charge.
2. Delivery & Pickup
MGJCo will deliver and retrieve the trailer from the agreed-upon location.
Customer is NOT permitted to tow, move, relocate, transport, or otherwise operate the trailer under any circumstances. If the trailer is moved without written authorization from MGJCo, Customer assumes all responsibility for any resulting damages, losses, fines, or liabilities and may be charged additional fees.
3. Weight Allowances
Rental pricing includes disposal up to the following limits:
- Partial Trailer: Includes up to 1 ton (2,000 lbs.)
- Full Trailer: Includes up to 2 tons (4,000 lbs.)
All loads are weighed at the disposal facility. Any weight exceeding the included allowance will be billed to Customer at MGJCo's current overage rate.
4. Acceptable Materials
Acceptable materials generally include household junk, furniture, construction debris, yard debris, remodeling materials, wood, drywall, and other non-hazardous solid waste.
Some items may require additional disposal fees, including mattresses, appliances containing refrigerants, televisions, electronics, and other specialty items. Please notify MGJCo in advance if these items will be included.
5. Prohibited Materials
The following materials are STRICTLY PROHIBITED:
- Tires
- Wet or liquid paint
- Gasoline, diesel fuel, oil, or other fuels
- Hazardous chemicals
- Solvents
- Batteries
- Propane tanks
- Explosives or ammunition
- Asbestos
- Medical waste
- Biohazard or biomedical waste
- Animal carcasses
- Radioactive materials
- Liquid waste of any kind
- Any material prohibited by local, state, or federal law
If prohibited materials are discovered, Customer is responsible for all additional disposal costs, cleanup expenses, environmental fees, fines, penalties, and administrative charges incurred by MGJCo. MGJCo reserves the right to refuse pickup until prohibited materials are removed.
6. Loading Requirements
Customer agrees to load debris evenly throughout the trailer, keep all debris at or below the top rails, avoid overloading, and not create an unsafe load. If the trailer cannot be safely transported, Customer must remove excess material before pickup. Additional trip charges may apply if a return visit is required.
Concrete, dirt, brick, asphalt, rock, and other exceptionally heavy materials require prior approval from MGJCo and may be subject to additional restrictions or pricing.
7. Access
Customer is responsible for providing safe and adequate access for delivery and pickup. If MGJCo is unable to deliver or retrieve the trailer due to blocked access, locked gates, vehicles, snow, mud, unsafe conditions, or other obstructions beyond MGJCo's control, additional trip charges may apply.
8. Property Damage
Dump trailers and delivery vehicles are heavy equipment. Customer acknowledges that delivery and pickup may result in impressions, cracks, scratches, ruts, or other damage to asphalt, concrete, gravel, pavers, lawns, irrigation systems, curbs, sidewalks, or other surfaces. Unless caused by MGJCo's gross negligence or intentional misconduct, Customer accepts these risks and releases MGJCo from liability for ordinary surface damage resulting from normal delivery or pickup operations.
9. Customer Responsibility
Customer is responsible for the trailer from the time of delivery until pickup and agrees to exercise reasonable care while it is on-site. Customer is responsible for damage resulting from misuse, fire, vandalism, theft, intentional damage, or unauthorized use occurring during the rental period.
10. Weather & Water Accumulation
Rain, snow, and other weather conditions may increase the weight of debris inside the trailer. Disposal facilities charge based on actual scale weight, and any additional weight caused by water accumulation counts toward the included weight allowance and any applicable overage charges.
11. Documentation
MGJCo reserves the right to photograph the trailer and its contents before delivery, during the rental period if necessary, and at pickup to document its condition and verify compliance with these Terms & Conditions.
12. Payment
Payment is due according to the terms agreed upon at booking. Additional charges may include weight overages, additional rental days, dry-run or return-trip charges, prohibited material disposal, specialty disposal fees, and excessive cleaning. Customer authorizes MGJCo to charge the payment method on file for any legitimate charges incurred under this agreement.
13. Limitation of Liability
MGJCo shall not be responsible for delays caused by weather, traffic, equipment breakdowns, landfill closures, acts of God, or circumstances beyond its reasonable control. MGJCo's total liability shall not exceed the amount paid for the rental service.
14. Acceptance
By accepting delivery of the trailer, signing this agreement, or authorizing the rental electronically, Customer acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agree to these Terms & Conditions.
